10 Special Christmas Recipes

BREAKFAST: I highly recommend something gingerbread flavored for Christmas morning β€” make it ahead so it can be served early and then serve it again after the morning nap! (And make-ahead cinnamon rolls are also a decadent holiday breakfast choice for those who don't favor gingerbread.)

APPETIZER: You'll want to try this fresh cranberry dish before the cranberries disappear from the produce department. It's very quick and easy, and is kind of addicting so you may want to double it!

DESSERT: If I make a 2-crust apple pie for Thanksgiving, then I like to change it up a bit and make a streusel-topped Dutch apple pie. It has the fabulous apple flavor but with just enough of a difference that it tastes like a whole different pie.

DESSERT: Cherry pie is a perfect fit for Christmas since it has the natural vibrant red color. Making a lattice topped crust shows off the color nicely, and I promise it's not as hard as it looks!

Start this amazingly flavorful bird a couple days ahead; it really is an easy recipe! Tired of turkey or it's not your fave? Brown Sugar Glazed Ham will also make your holiday lunch or dinner feel like a special meal.

DESSERT: Spiced Cranberry-Nut Baklava

BREAD SIDE: Overnight Dinner Rolls

SIDE: Glazed Carrots

APPETIZER: Famous Cheese Ball

SIDE: Roasted Brussels Sprouts
